The Twin Lakes National Fiddler Championship contest is held annually on Saturday on each 3rd weekend of July on the courthouse square in Leitchfield, KY starting at 9 am CDT. The competition awards over $10,000 in prices and features six age categories of Fiddling, Dancing, flatpick guitar, mandolin, and banjo. All events are free and there are no registration fees. The 48th Annual Grand Master Fiddler Championship will be held on Labor Day weekend, Saturday August 31st and Sunday September 1st in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in the Ford Theater. There are four competitions: Open, Traditional, Youth and Accompanist. Additionally, between rounds there will be entertainment by nationally and internationally recognized musicians and stars.
